In Botswana, wells that support big game wildlife — Elephant, zebra, giraffe — have for many years run on diesel pumps.

Those pumps have been turned off, the fuel cut, and now the few animals that return to their watering holes find them dry.  We’ve watched as the elephant suck up sand for any little water that they can.

You can help us as we journey next month to Botswana to restart these wells with new solar-powered pumps.  We’re installing Pix camera systems as well to observe from afar as the game returns.

You can support this project here.

We hope to have you join us on our next trip over there.
