ECO DEFENSE GROUP AWARDED STRATEGIC GRANT FROM SCI’S HUNTER LEGACY FUND

Safari Club International Foundation’s Hunter Legacy 100 Fund (HLF) has awarded Eco Defense Group a strategic grant for 2023. 

This grant will support a program based in South Africa focused on increasing the capabilities of wildlife professionals who face dangerous syndicate-backed poaching crime.  Eco Defense Group works to ensure that the protection of the rhino and other threatened species in crucial national park habitats is not proactive — moving to the left of wildlife crime so that protectors and wildlife are safe and protected.  

The HLF recognizes the importance of both Eco Defense Group’s mission and its partnership with local conservation entities around Africa.  

Eco Defense Group is a private organization, and maintains important security-conscious confidentiality in its vital work.  The HLF and SCI Foundation also shares Eco Defense Group’s ethos that results matter more than headlines.  

Both the HLF and Eco Defense Group share a vision for the protection of African wildlife, and the preservation of the ecosystem that provides for wild and natural hunting habitats and genetic diversity for generations to come.
