DSC Foundation Awards Eco Defense Group with Grant to Support Ranger Programs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Eco Defense Group is proud to receive a 2021 charitable grant from DSC Foundation.

The grant will specifically serve operations to train and equip rangers on the frontlines of the Rhino War.

“Eco Defense Group is grateful to join the community of hunting conservationists that support and are supported by the DSC Foundation,” says Eco Defense Group President Nathan Edmondson. “Wildlife conservation is a joint effort, and DSC Foundation shares our vision and their support for our mission is vital. We welcome them to our training and equipment programs.”

Eco Defense Group was founded to serve specialized needs for African wildlife protection. The organization equips, trains and enables Rangers and wildlife protectors for sustained effect in preserving natural habitats and protecting endangered wildlife from poachers. “DSC Foundation is an intuitive partner that understands the need for surgical capabilities development.”

Poaching numbers have grown radically since the COVID-lockdown across parks in Africa, and revenue for conservation has been cut. The DSCF grant will go specifically to provide low-light training and equipment to the Rangers responsible for protecting the last rhino populations in Southern Africa — a vital need to stop growing poaching threats.

From the DSC Foundation website: The vision of DSC is a society that values wildlife, engages in its conservation and understands and supports the role of well-regulated hunting in the sustainable use of wild resources.

Dallas Safari Club Foundation “provide(s) grants otherwise partner with other charitable, educational, and governmental organizations pursuing the same or similar goals as the DSC Foundation.” Eco Defense Group is grateful to be counted among those partners.
